IOCC Emergency Response Update
Hurricanes Helene and Milton
IOCC is on the ground and working with people to remove household debris, tree branches, garbage, and other water-logged items after the severe storm damage.
Recovery and Rebuilding Support
IOCC Action Team leaders and volunteers have been deployed to Tennessee and Florida this week, cleaning up and mucking out homes devastated by flooding. Our recovery operations also include the delivery and distribution of clean-up buckets, crucial to helping homeowners clear their homes for repair and restoration.
Emotional and Spiritual Care Support
Another essential part of the response is offering emotional and spiritual care to people suffering from the burden of a catastrophic event. Our trained Frontliners completed an assignment at a Red Cross Shelter in Asheville, NC, and are now deployed in Florida to meet community needs.
With your help, we've raised $1 Million in support, laying the groundwork for long-term recovery work.
Though an impressive benchmark has been reached, IOCC’s fundraising efforts continue so that more individuals and families may receive the help they truly need.
Your support makes extended recovery work possible, and gives momentum to the ongoing relief efforts, projected into 2026. Please consider making a donation today.
The initial 6-month response includes clean-up of storm and water damage, mucking-out homes and clearing debris, and the offering of emotional and spiritual care to those affected. Over the following 18 months, IOCC is committed to critical home repairs, the provision of construction materials supplies, and manpower through our vast network of volunteer teams.

Assemble Clean-Up Buckets and Hygiene Kits
You can bring hope and relief to communities affected by assembling clean-up buckets and hygiene kits. Clean-up buckets give people a way to start clearing water-damaged homes of muck and debris, and hygiene kits offer items like soap, toothbrushes, and towels to people who may be displaced from their homes. Visit iocc.org/kits to get started. Complete kits and buckets may be sent to our warehouse in Maryland or dropped off at a Church World Service depot.
