An infant in need.
A life-saving response.
When conflict erupted last fall, Celia’s family fled their home to seek shelter at St. Porphyrios Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza, where Celia was born at the end of October 2023.
Her life was difficult from the moment she arrived. She suffered from persistent vomiting and required a unique diet to survive. Surrounded by chaos, Celia’s family couldn’t find the medical help she needed. But then, hope arrived with your help.
Life-saving treatment for Celia
Celia’s family connected with an IOCC project at St. Porphyrios that is distributing medical supplies, hot meals, emergency items, and safe water for those sheltering there. IOCC provided Celia with specialized milk and a formula she could digest without vomiting. She received all of the medicine she needed until she was able to regain her strength. Today, as you can see in the photos in this letter, Celia is healthy and growing stronger. Thanks to donors like you, IOCC was prepared to deliver life-saving help amid sudden crisis. Her story reminds us that even in the direst of circumstances, there is always hope.
Help us prepare for what’s coming next
